Chief Campos began his career in the fire service working for the Orange County Fire Authority in Southern California where he graduated from the South Bay Fire Academy in 1991.
Chief Campos became a Firefighter with the Fayetteville Fire Department in 1994 and promoted to Fire Captain in 2000. Chief Campos promoted to Battalion Chief in 2006 and assigned as a shift commander on A-Shift.
In 2010, Chief Campos took over the training division for the fire department and has improved the quality of Firefighter training to superior levels. Chief Campos is the Recruitment Officer for the Fire Department and serves as the Public Information Officer. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Leadership Award in 2003 and the Martin Luther King Brotherhood Award from the City of Fayetteville in 2011.
