Sidewalk Improvements to the North Side of Mount Comfort Road

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will begin a sidewalk improvement project on the north side of Mount Comfort Road between N. Berkleigh Drive and N. Montana Avenue. Work will begin on Wednesday, November 1 and is expected to take six weeks to complete. Typical work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please note that rain or extreme weather could delay or extend the estimated work time.

The construction work will occasionally require restricting traffic on Mount Comfort Road to one lane. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic. Motorists should expect traffic delays and may want to use alternate routes.

Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.

Improvements include installing stormwater drain pipes, building curb and gutter, and new sidewalks to connect with existing sidewalks. To learn more about the City’s sidewalk projects, please visit this webpage.

On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we would like to express our appreciation for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area.  For additional information on the project, please contact the City of Fayetteville Transportation Division office at 479-575-8228. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
